Heads up, Shreveport, 50 Cent just dropped a bombshell about a new acting role, and he's got everyone talking. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has pretty much confirmed he's about to land a gig as a baddie in an upcoming Street Fighter movie. The cherry on top? 50 Cent might be teasing something for Shreveport, too.

The Buzz About Hollywood South

50 Cent posted a link to a report that he was in talks to play Balrog in a new Street Fighter movie and simply said, "No Days off, Let's work all roads lead to Shreveport." Balrog is one of the original bad guys from Street Fighter II, though originally he wasn't playable until Street Fighter II: Champion Edition.

The game manual for SFII describes Balrog as a former world boxing champion who was banned from boxing for his wild and aggressive style. It's not confirmed by the studio yet if 50 Cent has the spot as Balrog, but 50 seems to be confident about it in his posts.

All Roads Lead to Shreveport?

It's no secret that 50 Cent has fallen in love with the city of Shreveport, LA. With his film studio G-Unit moving into town, there's speculation that the city sitting firmly on the Red River could earn the title of Hollywood South.

50 has posted the phrase "All roads lead to Shreveport" quite a few times over the past year, almost turning it into his catchphrase. So why in his post announcing the Street Fighter role did he drop the Shreveport line? Some possible answers could be that he's trying to get the movie filmed in Shreveport, or some sort of screening for the movie, maybe even a Geek'd Con surprise appearance.

The truth is, we have no way of knowing 50 Cent's next move until he makes it, but that won't stop us from getting excited.
