Experience Louisiana as a Trucker… In a Video Game
The video game American Truck Simulator has announced a new DLC which will add the state of Louisiana to the game.
Truckin' in The Pelican State, Virtually
If you haven't guessed by now American Truck Simulator is a game that puts you in the driver's seat of a semi-truck and sends you across many American cities to pick up and drop off cargo to earn more in-game currency to upgrade your truck.
The Louisiana DLC was announced on Thursday, October 10th with no official date of release as of yet. The blog post introducing Louisiana gives great praise to the landscape and environment of Louisiana, which might not come as a surprise when you consider that said praise is from a software studio building an entire video game add-on based around the state, but SRS Software is a Czechnian software company.
The blog post announcing Louisiana as DLC teases different cargo mission types that will be available in Louisiana, including industries like forestry, petroleum, coal, and fishing. Cities likely to appear in the DLC include New Orleans and Baton Rouge which were both teased as possible locations in the announcement post.
American Trucker Meet American Gamers
American Truck Simulator came out back in 2016 and originally left a lot to be desired from the 'American' part of the game's title, at launch only California, Nevada, and Arizona were available states in the game.
The American Truck Simulator - Louisiana DLC is not yet available as it is still in development, but if you already own a copy of American Truck Simulator you can wishlist the DLC on Steam today.
