Air Force Base In Utah Performs Eye-Popping Spectacle Of Fight Planes
Hill Air Force Base in Utah performed an eye-popping spectacle Monday as a combat power exercise was completed.
Check out these pictures posted by the 388th Fighter Wing:
During the exercise, personnel from the 388th and 419th Fighter Wings executed an "elephant walk" of 52 F-35A fighters down the runway.
The two wings performed a similar display in November when they oversaw 35 F-35s in another exercise on a Hill AFB runway before taking off.
According to the Air Force, the main purpose of exercises like these is to test readiness "n the areas of personnel accountability, aircraft generation, ground operations, flight operations, and combat capability against air and ground targets."
