The good news is, there's one coming your way in about a week!  If my calculations are correct, the exact moment of the full Beaver Moon will be the morning of Nov. 14 at 6:52 a.m.

This November full Beaver moon is not only the closest full moon of 2016, but also the closest full moon since 1948 (incidentally, that's the last time the Cleveland Indians won the World Series).

Why the Beaver Moon?

According Old Farmer's Almanac, the November moon was named the Beaver Moon partly because,

"... for both the colonists and the Algonquin tribes, this was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs.”

So, there you go!  You've got about 6 days to get ready, then it's beaver trap layin' time!  Or, you could just make plans to have a romantic night out by the river - either way.
