According to the National Weather Service, the 10-day outlook forecasts below normal rainfall as well as likely above normal temperatures, all of which create dry ground and vegetative conditions.

These conditions will likely worsen if we do not receive adequate rainfall amounts in the area. This dryness along with any wind conditions will have a negative impact on Bossier Parish with an increased fire danger threat within the parish and surrounding area.

This ban will remain in effect until conditions improve.
