Annual Fishing for a Cause Bass Tournament Benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Set for April 23

Enjoy a day out on the water while raising money for our local kids.

Despino's Tire Service, along with Jim's South Tire and Propane, is once again hosting their Fishing for a Cause Bass Tournament. The tournament will take place on April 23 in Shreveport, Natchitoches and Alexandria. Lines will hit the water at 6:45 a.m. and will continue until the weigh-in at 3 p.m. The weigh-in will close at 4 p.m.

In Shreveport the tournament will take place at the Red River South Launch, Grand Ecore Landing in Natchitoches, and Levee Park on Third Street in Alexandria.

Entry fee is $175 per team and $10 Big Bass. Registration is mandatory on April 22 between 4-7 p.m. At least one team member must register on Friday.

Proceeds benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and will help those programs each area. For Shreveport, every dollar raised in Shreveport will stay in Shreveport to fund will the 17 programs at CHRISTUS Health Shreveport-Bossier. With Children's Miracle Network, no child is turned away regardless of their ability to pay.
