Ariana Grande Just Got a Tattoo That Basically Says ‘BBQ Grill’ in Japanese
Ariana Grande debuted some new ink on social media, but it appears it doesn't mean what she thinks it does.
The pop star posted a photo of her new palm tattoo, meant to say "7 Rings!" in Japanese, but fans were quick to point out that the tattoo was misspelled. According to fans fluent in the language, the tattoo actually says "shichirin," which is a small Japanese barbecue grill.
Grande, 25, deleted the Instagram photo. Still, Twitter has been flooded with reactions to the tattoo and, well, they're hilarious.
"Imagine getting bbq grill tattooed on your palm," one Twitter user wrote.
One fan explained the meaning of the tattoo on a tweet that somehow got Grande's attention. The "thank u, next" singer joked that she's a "huge fan of tiny bbq grills."
She then took a moment to explain what happened with the tattoo. Grande revealed that she left out a symbol, which should have gone between the two she has on her hand, however the tattoo "hurt like f--- n still looks tight."
"i wouldn't have lasted one more symbol lmao," she tweeted. "but this spot also peels a ton and won't last so if I miss it enough, i'll suffer thru the whole thing next time."
