The 2015 Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air Show is set for Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3. This annual event, led by a partnership between the Shreveport Bossier Military Affairs Council and Barksdale Air Force Base personnel, is a favorite for both locals and visitors to the area.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline this year's show. Other highlighs feature performances by the Golden Knight Army parachute team, Michael Goulian in the Extra 330SC air show plane, Kevin Coleman flying an Extra300SHP, Randy Ball’s MiG17, Rob Holland in the popular MXS-RH, P-51 Quick Silver, the Shockwave Jet Truck, local pilot Jeremy Holt in the Skybolt and more. Show time both days is 11am.

The show is open to the public with free admission and parking. On-base parking will be made available for visitors entering the North (Bossier) and West (Shreveport) gates. All vehicles will be directed to the flight line parking area. Shuttle bus transportation will also be available from Bossier Parish Community College. Buses will run on a continuous route to and from the show.

Attendees are reminded that, for security reasons, coolers, backpacks or any other large bags or containers are not allowed on the base.
