Battle of the Burgers: Whataburger or In-N-Out Burger? [POLL]
I'm going to elect to serve as the referee in this burger battle because I simply cannot pick a side. But we're forcing you to choose!
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the biggest battle of the 21st century! In one corner, serving up a "bigger, better burger" since 1950, wearing orange and white stripes... It's Whataburger. In the other corner, becoming California's first drive-thru burger stop in 1948, donning red palm trees and Bible verses... It's In-N-Out Burger. Only one burger will leave this ring as the champion. The other will have to take out the trash.
Which is your favorite?
Growing up in California, I demolished my fair share of In-N-Out (after every single sporting event and church function), but I also spent a lot of time in Texas scarfing down Whataburger at all hours of the day and night. I can't choose one, simply because I respect them too much for what they do. Each has something unique to bring to the table.
Whataburger
A staple in the south, serving up made-to-order burgers with 100 percent pure beef. Whataburger is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week with breakfast and chicken options available. Their classic burger comes standard with lettuce, tomato, onion and mustard served on a five-inch bun that's toasted... Just like you like it. Whataburger h is a strong contender with the option to "Whatasize" your meal and the choice of several condiments, like spicy ketchup. That small stand in Corpus Christi has now expanded to 790 locations.
In-N-Out Burger
Simple, fresh ingredients like hand-made patties from 100 percent USDA ground chuck is spreading from the west coast across the southern part of the country. In-N-Out's claim to fame is making things the old-fashioned way. Their classic burger comes with lettuce, tomato, onions and their special sauce. The menu features a limited number of items, but comes with unique ways to customize your items like low-carb and animal-style options. From Baldwin Park in California to now more than 300 locations across six states.
So it's time to choose your favorite! Think which you would choose if you could only have one for the rest of your life.
