Be a Part of History, the Inaugural Louisiana Food Prize Kicks Off Next Week

Louisiana Food Prize kicks off next week, but the voting has already begun!

Do you smell that? It's Louisiana Food Prize and it smell deeeeelicious! The same crazy awesome staff that brought you Louisiana Film Prize, Louisiana Music Prize, and Louisiana Startup Prize are now bringing you the best food this country has to offer.

Voting for Louisiana Food Prize is open until September 27.

All you have to do is download the Port Cities Dining Guide App and cast your vote for your favorites. The top five chefs will then throw down at the Louisiana Food Prize Coliseum (located near the food trucks) at this year's Louisiana Film Prize.

The competition will take place Saturday, October 3 at 7 p.m.

The five local chefs will have to create dishes for a panel of celebrity chefs and restauranteurs from a basket of mystery ingredients. The last chef standing will take home the Golden Fork Award, $5,000 cash and some major bragging rights.
