Bossier Parish Schools have become the first local system to move their schedules, after Governor John Bel Edwards announced the state is moving into Phase 3. The state's reopening announcement triggered a response from the Bossier Parish School Board in less than 2 hours.

The move with Bossier Parish Schools will only impact Middle Schools to start, but will begin on Monday September 14th. All middle school students (grades 6th-8th) doing A/B hybrid learning will move to daily in-school classes on that day.

High School students on the A/B hybrid schedule will not change yet, to allow the schools' transportation department to adjust to the new changes.

These changes DO NOT impact students who are doing 100% virtual learning.

The release from the Bossier Parish School Board says:

"Parents able to transport their children of all ages to and from school are still being asked to do so to assist with the reduced capacity limits on buses that will remain in place. Please note all mitigation efforts will remain in effect at our schools, which include wearing face masks, practicing social distancing, heightened hand hygiene, increased cleaning and disinfection, and an emphasis on keeping children home when they are sick."

No time table has been set for the return to daily learning for High School students at this time.
