Bossier Parish School Board Helps Kids Save Money on AP and Dual Credit Classes
Bossier Parish School Board has been undergoing several budget cuts. Some of those budget cuts will be effecting kids who are wanting to get a jump into their college careers with Advanced Placement courses and Dual Enrollment credits.
According to KTBS, the school board intends to help students who are wanting to take these types of classes without hurting their wallet.
Last month a meeting was held to discuss how to make the costs for kids trying to better their education more affordable. The end result was the Bossier Parish School Board will be using the Bossier Educational Excellence Fund to help students and their families pay for the advanced classes. Instead of paying hundreds of dollars the students will only have to pay $30.
