Caddo Parish school bus drivers are not happy about working conditions and they are taking their complaints to the public in the form of a protest.

The drivers tell KTBS they have had enough. More than 30 drivers showed up with picket signs outside the school board meeting. Drivers say buses are in poor condition and repairs made are only temporary. Several drivers say they've been left stranded on the side of the road because of the condition of some of the buses.

The drivers also claim it takes months to get paid for extra routes they run. Some drivers are now refusing to run extra routes for extracurricular activities because it takes so long to get paid. They also say the shortage of drivers is causing serious problems. The parish has 20-30 open positions.
