SHREVEPORT, LA – Donate Life Louisiana (DLL) is excited to announce the winners for their

2010-2011 Poster Contest. Freshman Brook Fort, from Captain Shreve High School, submitted this year’s

winning entry. Her artwork was submitted by her art teacher, Diana Garrison. The surprise announcement

and award presentation will take place Friday May 20th, 2011 at 10:00am. The contest was held throughout

the state, encouraging students in grades six through twelve to create a visual message expressing the

importance of organ and tissue donation.

1st, 2nd and 3rd place were chosen from approximately 210 entries. The 1st place winner will receive

an iPod nano; 2nd place will receive an iPod shuffle; and 3rd place will receive a $25 iTunes gift card. The

winning student’s teacher will receive a $250 gift card of their choice.

Donate Life Louisiana (DLL) is a collaboration between the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency and

Legacy Donor Foundation. The mission of Donate Life Louisiana is to educate the citizens of Louisiana about organ

and tissue donation, encourage them to register as organ and tissue donors, and foster family acceptance of the

process. We envision a world with no loss of human life or function due to the lack of donor organs or tissues and a

society that accepts and supports donation as natural and beneficial.
