Celebrate Mind, Body, and Soul at Shreveport’s Yoga Farm Festival
Taking care of yourself isn't just a good idea, it's an absolute necessity. That being said, it's more than a little difficult to eat healthy food in a land that's completely saturated with delicious (and not-so-healthy) foods. Seriously, the most common ingredient in Cajun food is butter, and the most popular way to eat anything here is deep-fried.
Eating healthy just isn't enough
It's not just the food though - getting enough water (beer doesn't count), exercise, and peace of mind are all necessary to be the most healthy version of yourself. Luckily, an awesome event has just been announced for Shreveport that might just be exactly what you need to get on the right path.
Fitting: This investment in your future is brought to you by an investment firm
The investment experts at WFA are bringing the whole-body-health to Shreveport with The Yoga Farm Fest, scheduled for September the 24th through the 26th. This festival of healthy living has everything! Yoga, healthy and delicious food, live music, acupuncture, hoola-hooping, and so much more is on tap for those who are already doing the most for themselves and those who are looking to jump on board the train to Wellville.
Is all of this really necessary?
The whole idea behind the festival, according to Farm Fest member Sarah Sledge, is to change the approach to building a better you. Too often it seems that folks tackle one aspect of living healthier, this festival's purpose is to show you how you can make every aspect of your life better - body, mind, and soul. If you'd like a blueprint to a happier and healthy life - this is it! According to Sarah:
This festival celebrates mind body and soul by promoting health, wellness and community through yoga, music, food, drink and sunshine. Come breathe with us in nature for a weekend of asanas set to live music, meet your local farmers to understand where good food comes from, enjoy that food created by local chefs, learn about the healing art of acupuncture and herbs or just come for some good people watching. Let’s inspire each other to cultivate the 318!
I'm ready to start my healthy journey, what's the next step?
Tickets for this festival are on sale now, and there are options for folks who want to go for one or two days that include classes and more, and those who just want to check it out (but don't necessarily want to jump in to some skin-tight yoga pants). You can grab yours, check out the schedule, and find out everything you need to know on The Yoga Farm Fest's official website here.
