Chasing Aces is completely changing the golf game for residents of Shreveport-Bossier. With its two-story bays, fantastic putting green, and a newly opened par-3 course that has an incredible waiting list of people from all over the Ark-La-Tex, it's easy to get impatient waiting for your turn.
If you're like me and can't wait to jump into the action at Chasing Aces, I found a clever workaround: hire a golf pro for a lesson. It's a great way to get on the course, beat the crowds, and improve your swing all at the same time.
A one-hour lesson costs $25 per person when you're in a group. If you can't fill a group of four and want a more focused session, you can pay $100 for a solo lesson. So, whether you want to bring a few friends or go it alone, there's a flexible option to get you playing on the course right away. I hired Shreveport's infamous Meredith Duncan for a lesson, and although it was a fun session, I learned a lot during my "Chica Tries" segment.
I did find a cheaper alternative for women who want to learn to swing a club, it's called "Wine and Wedges" was created by the crew at Chasing Aces so women who have interest in golf but don't want to take it so serious can learn the art of the game, get some tips and tricks from Golf Pro Meredith Duncan and you even get some free wine while learning. Want to jump in on the action? Just email Meredith@chasingaces.golf for more information on lessons.
