Bossier’s Chasing Aces: From Crayons to Epic Entertainment

The entire Ark-La-Tex is eagerly waiting for the grand opening of Chasing Aces. Bossier City is about to have one of the most epic complexes in Louisiana, and this place all came to be because of a crayon drawing on an airplane.

John Dudley is the visionary behind Chasing Aces' layout, and although it seems like a joke, the man put his 27-acre property vision on paper using crayons on a flight home from a golf trip. Did he dream up that it would morph into what it is now? Kind of. John Dudley describes himself as a person who enjoys pushing against all odds, and he claims that this was a challenge of "epic proportions."

Dudley said "I love to visualize things and create. Chasing Aces was an idea I came up with on a return flight of a golf trip, I sketched it with crayons, then 4 1/2 years later, it’s sitting on the riverfront waiting to become a national brand."

The Shreveport businessman has always loved golf, Dudley said, "Night golf is one of my best memories as a child. I grew up at Par3 (Westwood). I learned about golf and how to hustle on the course and at the card table." Now locals can play night golf without being hustled.

Chasing Aces sits on 27 acres and is right next to the Margaritaville Resort Casino, near the riverfront in Bossier City. This will be a social golfing experience, but it doesn't stop there; it will also serve as an entertainment venue for people of all ages and skill levels. Don't love golf? Step right up to bat in the Home Run Dugout Batting Bays.

This might be the most epic hangout spot in Northwest Louisiana. The goal is not just to offer some delicious food that you can order while you're there to play, but the owners have shared plans to collaborate with local chefs and have some pop-up guest menus as well. Chasing Aces will offer event spaces for tournaments, weddings, and corporate events.

Chasing Aces has plans to open in June. We are thrilled that this multimillion-dollar project is coming to life in our community.
