It’s no secret that Broken Bow, Oklahoma, has quickly become a must-visit destination for Shreveport residents. With the drive being much shorter than Dallas, the scenery feels like a peaceful escape from the hectic town life, a perfect invitation to relax and not take life so seriously.

Shreveport Family Builds Luxury Cabin Empire in Broken Bow

There are three cabins in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, that are constantly getting love from social media influencers because of how unique each one is. What could these three cabins have in common? They were dreamed up right here in Shreveport. Meet the Clampitts from Shreveport, Louisiana.

The Clampitts fell in love with Broken Bow and quickly turned their dreams into reality, creating some of the most epic cabins in the world.

Slideaway Hideaway was the first cabin that drew Shreveporters to Broken Bow, with its custom-built design and three-story slide. From there, the Clampitt family created Treetopia, a cabin so unique it was just named the "most epic Airbnb in America." They recently finished their third creation, PinHouse Lodge.

Creating Experiences, Not Just Cabins

The family’s approach to hospitality is what truly sets them apart. As Sara Clampitt says, "To us, hospitality is more than just a cabin to sleep in. It’s about creating memories that our guests will talk about for the rest of their lives. Every detail in our cabins was designed to make our guests feel as though they have discovered something unique and magical." That sense of magic comes from their belief that play is for all ages.

According to David Clampitt, "Whether you’re 5 or 95, there’s something about sliding down a 3 or 4-story slide, watching a movie under the stars, or walking across a 100-foot swinging suspension bridge that brings out your inner kid." He adds that they didn’t want to create "just another generic cabin, we wanted to build places where our guests would feel like kids again."

Building these unique destinations wasn't easy. While there were "plenty of naysayers," David says the family "jumped right in and figured out how to swim, on each crazy cabin." That brave spirit has paid off. The very best part, he says, is hearing the feedback from guests or seeing social media posts "full of giggles and happy smiles."

A Dream Come True in Broken Bow

When Treetopia was ranked the #1 most epic Airbnb in America, Sara admits it was "definitely surreal." But the best part for her was hearing comments from people who said they "couldn't wait to bring their families here. That’s why we do this!"

With the success of their three cabins, the Clampitts are already off to their next adventure: "We’re off swimming again with the newest crazy Lux Sand Castle on the beach," David says.

The Clampitts have proven that with a little creativity and a lot of heart, a dream born in Shreveport can become a memory-making reality for families everywhere.
