The year 2020 was not kind to the world of comic cons. Honestly, it wasn't kind to many events. The COVID-19 pandemic, and associated lockdowns, shut down almost every live event around the world.

But as COVID numbers and restrictions started to fade last year, a few events were able to sneak into the schedule. That included the Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo, who were able to get a 2020 show in. By July, the numbers in Alabama had dropped enough to get events back on track, so the Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo was able to sneak in a show. Which was a great weekend by the way.

Last summer they were able to welcome legendary comic writer Chris Claremont and WWE Hall of Fame member Sgt Slaughter, along with a lot of other great guests.

But that was last year...we're looking at 2021, and the Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo is back!

This year's event is happening April 9th-11th at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Just a day drive from the Shreveport area, this show is going to be well worth the drive.

Not only will this year's Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo be filled with comic and collectible vendors, they will have an incredible guest lineup. Some of the biggest brands in geek culture will be well represented with their lineup.

Arguably the two "headliners" are Jason David Frank, best known as the original Green Power Ranger, and Emily Swallow who made a huge splash as The Armorer in the Star Wars franchise addition The Mandalorian. There will also be guests from Supernatural, Disney, various anime franchises, and two AEW superstars. Those two AEW stars will be TNT Champion Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara.

It's great to see the calendar filling up with comic con type events this year, but even with more on the way, it will be hard to top the quality that Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo brings.
