Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is on the way this August. This year will be the 10th anniversary of Shreveport's geeky spectacular. But if you really need to get your comic con fix before that, Lake Charles has exactly what you're looking for.

Starting Friday, April 11th (and going through April 13th), CyPhaCon will return to the Lake Charles Civic Center. It's a 3-day event, that is a combination of Anime, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and gaming. The event has been running since 2011, and in the past has featured celebrity guests like Bruce Boxleitner, Doug Jones, Julian Glover, Sonny Strait, Chuck Huber, Todd Haberkorn, Tony Amendola, Monica Rial, Robert Axelrod, and many more.

Who Will Be At This Year's CyPhaCon?

This year's CyPhaCon boasts one of their best lineups ever. Featuring an iconic actor who helped shape a generation in the 1990s. One of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Walter Jones...

Jones debuted as Zack Taylor in the first episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in 1993, and starred as a Power Ranger through 79 episodes. But Jones didn't just play a Ranger in the TV series, he was also featured in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Alpha's Magical Christmas, Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, and Power Rangers Wild Force. So Jones has been a deep part of the Power Rangers universe for a long time.

In addition to Jones, CyPhaCon will also feature an appearance from Tony Award winning actor John Glover.

Glover has had numerous on-screen roles, including notable appearances in Gremlins 2, Scrooged, Macbeth in Manhattan, Meet the Hollowheads, among his film roles. His television resume is deep as well, with roles in Tales from the Crypt, Brimstone,  Haunted History, and Fear the Walking Dead.

But most comic book fans will recognize him from a pair of DC Comics roles; one on-screen, and one iconic voice role.

Glover appeared on-screen as Lionel Luthor in the show Smallville. He played the role, which was Lex Luthor's father, in 145 episodes. Initially debuting as an enemy of Clark Kent/Superman, Glover's Lionel Luthor eventually became an ally to the Man of Steel.

But before Smallville, Glover became a comic book media legend when he voiced Edward Nygma, The Riddler, in the Emmy Award winning cartoon Batman: The Animated Series.

Glover continued the legendary role across the DC Animated universe into Superman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures. He also voiced the video game version of The Riddler in the game The Adventures of Batman & Robin.

Another of their guests this year will be Star Trek actress Nicole de Boer.

Best known for playing Lieutenant Ezri Dax in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Nicole de Boer remains a fan-favorite to this day. But her resume isn't just Star Trek related.

In addition to her Star Trek fame, de Boer was the lead in the movies Cube and Prom Night IV: Deliver Us from Evil, giving her some serious horror movie credentials. She also appeared in films like National Lampoon's Senior Trip, Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy, and Phil the Alien.

She is also well known for starring opposite Anthony Michael Hall in the cult classic TV series The Dead Zone. She also was also featured in shows like Haven, The Outer Limits, Private Eyes, and The Kids in the Hall.

Will CyPhaCon Have Any Voice Actors In 2025?

CyPhaCon will also feature a list of anime voice actors for 2025. Including Landon McDonald, Benjamin Stegmair, Celeste Perez, and Cory Phillips.

These voice actors represent some huge anime franchises, like Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball, Fairy Tail, and One Piece.
