Country Singer Craig Strickland Found Dead

One week after being reported missing, the body of country singer Craig Strickland was found Monday morning near Kaw Lake, OK.

Strickland was reported missing while on a duck hunting trip Dec. 27 on Kaw Lake with his friend Chase Morland, whose body was found after their boat capsized when the weather turned severe.

Strickland's wife, former Miss Arkansas Helen Strickland, confirmed news of her husband's death Monday on Twitter, posting, "#CraigStrickland was found today. He is safe with his Father in Heaven. Thank you Lord for leading us to him today. I will praise you, Amen."

Rescue efforts were hampered by severe storms in the area, Oklahoma Highway Patrol Capt. Paul Timmons told the Associated Press.
