Social Distancing won't stop the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office's new graduates from getting some well-deserved pomp-and-circumstance. The CPSO will be responsibly holding a badge pinning ceremony to an invite-only small crowd.

Eight different agencies will be represented by those proud graduates of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Regional Training academy. 16 graduates will be taking the next step in their lives toward greatness.

All participants of the class took in 536 hours or more of peace officer training in areas including law, patrol activities, traffic services, report writing, investigations, firearms, first aid, and criminal justice. All graduates did well in their chosen fields and will hold their positions to the highest standards.

Attendance is by invitation only due to safe social distancing practice and limited space. But, the ceremony will be live streamed on the CPSO Facebook page for those who would like to watch. From CPSO Press:

"Graduation exercises for the 47th basic training class of the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy will take place at 4 pm, Thursday, May 28, at the American Rose Center, 8877 Jefferson Paige Road, in Shreveport."

Graduates are: Simone Adams, Ashlyn Anderson, Sheknequa Green, Keldric Jones, Sebastian Klinkenberg, Corey Steadman (Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office); Adam Young (Caddo Fire District #3); Matthew Harrison, Sidney Pitcher (Camp Minden);  Jasmine Montgomery, Shataria Reed, Ashton Richardson  (Desoto Parish Sheriff’s Office) Christopher Hayward (LSU Health Science Center Police Department) Zamarcea Miles (Mansfield Police Department); Niki Anderson (Office of Juvenile Justice); and Josiah Steinke (Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office).

We at KEEL would like to congratulate all the graduates, and wish them luck in their future of service.
