Daylight Saving Time Will Come To An End On Sunday, November 3rd
You can just watch the sun rising and setting these days and realize that the days are slowly becoming shorter.
Just the other day my daughter made a comment about the sun in the morning appearing more in the east southeast sky as we were traveling east on Cumberland Rd. in Tyler on our way to her school. I told her the sun was moving that way because the Earth is tilting away from the sun as autumn is here and winter isn't that far off. Then she said it's getting darker soon too, something that happens this time of the year.
With fall's arrival, we'll soon be setting our clocks back one hour as Daylight Saving Time comes to an end. On Sunday, November 3rd at 2 a.m. we will be setting our clocks back one hour and losing Daylight Saving Time and gaining an hour of sleep, something we all can benefit from. As we take part in the annual ritual of setting back our clocks, now is a good time to check and/or replace those batteries in your smoke detectors in your home.
We're pretty used to this time change thing, its been happening here in the U.S. since 1918 and this year we'll be observing it again on Sunday, November 3rd at 2 a.m., we'll be setting those clocks back one hour.
