Do You Celebrate Thanksgiving Here, Or Do You Have To Drive To Your Parents?

No dad wants to be Clark Grizzwald.  Pushing the itinerary so hard, nobody has a good time during the holiday season.  However, since my family and I moved to Bossier City seeing family now necessitates travel of more than 2 hours, and almost always involves serious traffic.

That brings about the age old question.  Do I stay, or do I go?  Every year the question comes up - do we celebrate the holidays here and avoid the driving and crazy schedule, do we brave the traffic and visit everyone, or do we pick one family to visit for this holiday and the other family to visit for the next holiday?   It's enough to drive you crazy!  This year - Tracy, Deacon, and I have decided to started leaning towards staying at home plan.  We aren't cutting anyone out, I actually think we will be setting a better example for Deacon when we are more relaxed and focused on what the day is supposed to be about.
