We don't understand why people think it's such a big deal that Britney Spears' mom, Lynne Spears, was seen shopping at Dollar General in Louisiana recently. Don't they know that we ALL shop at Dollar General in Louisiana?

Let me give you some context. In recent years, the Spears gravy train has ended and the folks, including Britney Spears' parents, who were attached to said gravy train are now fending for themselves. To make ends meet, Lynne Spears, Britney's mom, is back to teaching elementary school. There have also been rumors that her mom has been selling some of Britney's stuff to make ends meet, even though Lynne vehemently denies it.

Let's face it, times are tough and there's not a darn thing wrong with trying to save a dollar. And I don't care who you are, everyone in Louisiana has shopped at Dollar General at some point.

Why are media outlets like TMZ and the Daily Mail making such a big deal out of it? Honestly, who cares?!?! Have they forgotten that they put their pants on one leg at a time, too? Or are they so far removed from reality that they don't understand how normal folks live?

So, Lynne Spears was seen at Dollar General in Kentwood, LA carrying a designer purse and driving a white Mercedes. You see women doing that every single day at every single dollar store in Louisiana. Shopping at Dollar General doesn't mean you're broke, it means your smart!
