Shreveport has a rich musical history. From Elvis Presley to Hank Williams to the Rolling Stones... there have been so many performances of historical note that have largely been forgotten by those who live in Shreveport today.

In fact, one of those many historical performances was by one of the greatest rock and roll artists of all time, Jimi Hendrix. But, to help the world remember the sell out show from Shreveport, Dunlop and the Jimi Hendrix Estate are releasing a new guitar strap recreating the one Hendrix wore during his show from 1968.

According to the Dunlop website:

In 1968, the United States was in the midst of a tectonic cultural shift. At the center of this shift in the musical realm was Jimi Hendrix, a guitarist like the world had never seen before. On July 31, 1968, he played to a sold-out crowd in the Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. The stage setting was sparse. There was no need for elaborate lights or sound equipment. It was just a man with his guitar, amps, and the music that defined a cultural revolution.
