Record Store Day in Louisiana: Best Local Shops to Visit
Record Store Day is a day revered by music fans and record collectors, and this year is no different. Record Store Day 2025 will be on Saturday, April 12th, and over 300 limited edition releases will be available at a handful of participating music stores in Louisiana.
What's Available This Record Store Day?
Record Store Day is a celebration of family-owned record stores and the communities they foster. Since 2007 every April and every Black Friday stores have sold limited edition variants of records, collector editions of CDs, and even tape cassettes.
Limited edition releases for RSD are not allowed to be sold online, you have to buy them in person when they are released on RSD.
If you miss your chance at getting an RSD release, stores can sell them online after RSD is done, but that's only if they still have them in stock.
This year's RSD release lineup looks stacked this year with something for everyone's taste, from a limited edition release of Charli xcx's Number 1 Angel, to a live David Bowie album from 2003, even a Bluey record that looks like a burger.
You can read the full lineup of RSD 2025 releases on their website.
