The parade will start in downtown Shreveport on Clyde Fant Parkway at Lake Street and head south to Shreveport-Barksdale Highway where it will continue west to E. Kings Highway and then turn south and continue to Preston. The parade ends just before Preston where the “Parade End” sign is. Floats will stop throwing at this point. The parade will start at 4:00 pm, RAIN OR SHINE.

People often ask where is the best place to set up along the parade route and the answer is anywhere! If you're looking for a more of the party area, then Shreve City or around the Duck Pond is your best bet. If you're looking for an area safe for the kids, then the best spot on the Clyde Fant Parkway!

The Krewe of Centaur says floats will not begin throwing before they cross Lake Street at the beginning of the parade and they will stop throwing just before Preston Street, where the “Parade End” sign is. If a float stops for any reason, throwing will stop, until the float begins moving again. Be on the lookout for 'No Throw' zones. These are areas where the floats are making turns or crossing bridges. The 'No Throw' zones are strictly enforced and are posted.

If you're looking for something fun to do with the family before the parade, then the Red River District is where you need to go! From 11:30-3:30pm, they're hosting the Shreveport Mardi Gras Pre-Parade Party Under The Bridge!
