FEMA Denies Additional Aid For Louisiana
On Tuesday FEMA told Governor Edwards that they were denying the requested additional aid for Orleans, Jefferson, Ascension, St. James and Livingston parishes after the devastating Tornadoes earlier this year. The Governor now has 30 days to appeal which it looks like he will.
According to the letter sent by FEMA they didn't feel the damage done by the tornadoes was severe enough to need additional aid.
The Governor has been in DC this week meeting with President Trump about a number of things including a need for more aid dating back to last summer's floods. For more details CLICK HERE!
