Fireworks and Family Fun: Celebrate This Sunday in Bossier City
I don't know what it is about fireworks, they must be magical because they make me feel like a kid again! Maybe it's because watching fireworks evokes a sense of childlike wonder and excitement, transporting us back to hot carefree summer nights or being bundled up alongside the Red River Thanksgiving weekend for Rockets Over the Red. Nostalgia aside, fireworks usually accompany some type of celebration, so I always associate them with something 'good.' I guess that's why seeing fireworks as an adult lets us reconnect with our inner child.
If you're as big of a fireworks fan as I am, you'll want to head to First Bossier's Freedom Fields this Sunday, May 21st, 2023, at 7 pm. They call the event 'Family and Fireworks' and everyone is invited to come take part in the festivities which will include food trucks and First Bossier's own concessions as well as inflatables for the kids. Organizers also say there's plenty of room to play football, soccer, frisbee, and more. Just make sure to bring your friends and family, blankets and lawn chairs. This event is free and parking is available throughout the campus of First Bossier Church.
