Green Day Member Joins “The Voice”

Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong will be joining NBC's "The Voice" this coming season as a mentor, the network announced Thursday.

Armstrong will guide Christina Aguilera's team on the singing-competition show. He says he and his family are big fans of the show, saying "The Voice" has earned a loyal following by guiding contestants without "giving them a complete makeover", adding that working with Aguilera is "a lot of fun".

The new season of "The Voice" kicks off Sept. 10.
