I don't know what is going on in Louisiana, but another huge investment in the Bayou State is setting the stage for even more, good-paying jobs.  Not only will this gigantic chunk of money turn into open positions for someone who needs it - it will also help create more of arguably the most valuable thing you can have in your home besodes your family - air conditioners.

According to the report from Westport-News, a whopping $45 million investment in the Alliance Compressors assembly facility in Natchitoches will add more manufacturing capacity to the already huge, 400,000 square ft. factory.  The new space will accommodate a 3rd assembly line that is necessary for the company to meet the increased worldwide need for efficient air-conditioning.

The venture, set to be completed in March of 2023, will add 78 permanent jobs to the company's payroll - on top of the jobs created by the construction work needed to complete the expansion.  The permanent jobs will carry an average yearly salary of $47,000, plus benefits.

The expansion's announcement came on Friday, February 11th in a joint press conference with Alliance Compressors' CEO Brent Schroeder and Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards.  According to the report, Gov. Edwards was there to announce that the state of  Louisiana would be providing an incentive package that includes a $1 million performance-based grant to pay for equipment costs.
