50 Cent Has Brought in New Hope and Life to Downtown Shreveport.

I lived in downtown Shreveport for a year, and halfway through my year of downtown residency I saw the "50 Cent Transformation". Once the "G Unit Films" flags went up on poles all over downtown several businesses gave themselves much-needed facelifts and all of a sudden downtown Shreveport was a beautiful place to live.

50 Cent Brought the Humor and Harmony Weekend to Shreveport Which Was Like Nothing We Have Ever Seen Before.

People from all over America flooded to Shreveport for music, comedy, and basketball games. During Humor and Harmony Weekend, there was something for everyone.

Is 50 Cent Already Ditching Shreveport?

Kind of, but it isn't for long. According to WBLK.com, 50 Cent has landed a $15 million Las Vegas residency deal. This is 50's first-ever Las Vegas residency, it's 50 Cent: In Da Club and the six shows kick off on December 27th, 2024, and the shows wrap up on January 4th, 2025. The shows will take over PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and what has everyone talking is a special New Year's Eve performance.

The good news for Shreveport, it is only 6 shows, it looks like Curtis Jackson will be coming back to finish what he started in Shreveport.
