DOTD To Close Lanes of Several Caddo Parish Roads

It's that time of year. The time for bridge inspections, and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced several of them in the coming weeks.

To allow crews to properly do these inspections, the DOTD is advising all motorists of intermittent lane closures on a number of roads throughout Caddo Parish.

Here is the list of the closures announced by the DOTD, so that you can plan accordingly:

US 71 (N. Market Street) southbound over Cross Bayou near downtown Shreveport.

Tuesday, July 9, 2024

US 71 (N. Market Street) northbound over Cross Bayou near downtown Shreveport.

Wednesday, July 10, 2024

LA 3032 (Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge) eastbound over the Red River in Caddo/Bossier Parishes.

Thursday, July 11, 2024

LA 169 over Twelve Mile Bayou 1.6 miles east of LA 1 near Town of Mooringsport.

Friday, July 12, 2024

LA 3094 (N. Hearne Ave) over Twelve Mile Bayou 0.96 miles north of LA 173 in Shreveport.

DOTD bridge inspection crews will be on site conducting these routine inspections. Please drive cautiously through the work zone, slow down, remove any distractions, and never drive while impaired.

Of course, this work will be done weather permitting, so inclement weather could delay, extend or alter the specified times/days for the work.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
