With conditions this dry and temperatures hitting triple-digits most every day, the idea of burning anything outdoors becomes more and more dangerous and fire marshals and police juries have elected to remove the opportunity for accidental fires by banning any such burning.

Two More Northwest Louisiana Parishes Have Recently Issued Burn Bans

The latest to join this growing list are Caddo and Natchitoches parishes, where any form of outdoor burning is now banned.

Along with these northwest Louisiana parishes, the following counties in east Texas have almost burned all such burning until further notice: Panola, Upshur, Rusk, Nacogdoches, Sabine, San Augustine and Shelby counties.

There Is A Louisiana State Website Designed To Keep You Updated On Bans

While the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry website is sometimes a little slow in updating with the newest information, you can monitor a somewhat "up to date" list of the latest parishes to issue burn bans HERE.
