Shreveport Again Rated As One Of America’s Dirtiest Cities

Most everyone in the Shreveport area really hates it when we show up on one of those "negative lists" and yet, here we are once again.

The saddest part of this one is that being listed is totally avoidable if it weren't for the self-inflicted wounds.

Even With Expanded Survey, Shreveport Still One Of America's Dirtiest Cities

Again this year, LawnStarter ranked the dirtiest cities in America, and it's obvious that Shreveport is due for a good cleaning.

LawnStarter even expanded their study this year, to include over 300 of the biggest U.S. cities based on four categories, including air pollution, water quality, waste management, and resident dissatisfaction levels, and Shreveport didn't fare so well.

At Least Shreveport Is Ranked Better Than In The Study From 2023

According to LawnStarter's findings, in 2024, Shreveport was ranked as the 53rd dirtiest city in America.  53 of 300.

Doesn't sound too impressive, but it's a huge improvement from the 2023 findings, where Shreveport was rated as the 11th dirtiest city in the whole country.

Overall, Louisiana Didn't Fare Too Well In This Year's Study

A bittersweet finding from this research did show that Shreveport was actually cleaner than New Orleans, which is much better than the last study, but Louisiana as a whole doesn't do very well when it comes to cleanliness.

What Are The "Cleanest" Cities In America?

The state of Virginia once again had America's cleanest city with Lynchburg.

Duluth, Minnesota finished as second, largely due to it's incredibly low pollution and Redwood City, California was number three, with the city's "Infrastructure Rank" as one of the best in the country.
