Fishermen Find Body Under Bridge in South Caddo Parish

Over the weekend, Caddo Parish Sheriff's Patrol Deputies responded to a report of a deceased person found underneath a bridge by two fishermen.

When Deputies arrived at the scene near on Ellerbe Road, near Gayle Red Bluff Road, they confirmed an adult body was what the fishermen found. Caddo Parish Fire District 5 also responded to the scene and pronounced the individual dead on the scene. The identity of the person is being withheld until the notification of the next of kin.

Currently, the cause of death have not been determined. The incident is under investigation by Caddo Parish Sheriff's investigators in coordination with the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office, and the investigation remains active.

The area surrounding the bridge was temporarily secured while investigators conducted a preliminary examination. No further details are available at this time.
