Bossier Police Hosting Cookout Fundraiser to Support Injured Officers
Bossier City residents are invited to gather in front of the Bossier City Police Department this Friday, October 3, 2025, for a special community cookout. From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, members of Bossier FOP Lodge #39 will host a hamburger fundraiser dedicated to supporting two officers recently injured in the line of duty.
A Community Coming Together
On September 14, 2025, two Bossier City officers were shot while serving in the line of duty. Though both survived, their recovery brings with it many unexpected expenses. The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #39 is stepping in to rally support, asking the community to stand with these officers and their families during a difficult time.

“This is about more than just raising money,” a Bossier City resident shared. “It’s about showing our officers that their city stands behind them when they need it most.”
Donation-Only Event
The fundraiser will feature hamburgers served fresh off the grill, with all meals provided on a donation-only basis. Organizers say every dollar collected will go directly toward helping the injured officers and their families.
Local officials and community members are also being asked to donate their time in helping with the event, furthering the spirit of solidarity.
Why It Matters
The cookout represents a chance for citizens to not only contribute financially but also to show appreciation for the men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to protect the community. The organizers emphasize that the smallest act of support makes a difference.
