Assistant Deli/Food Service Manager

Construction on Louisiana's first Buc-ee's in Ruston is actively underway with structural walls and concrete pouring well underway. The company hopes to get this giant retail complex open in mid-2027.

- Size: 70,000 to 74,000 square feet

Buc-ee’s Construction Timeline & Status
- Groundbreaking: Official ceremony held on October 24, 2025.
- Current Progress: Walls went up in spring 2026, and crews are currently pouring concrete and advancing interior/exterior groundwork.
- Expected Opening: Projected for early-to-mid 2027.
How Many Jobs Workers Are Needed for Buc-ee’s
This massive rest stop is expected to create between 200 to 250 permanent jobs.
Only a couple of jobs are up for grabs now, but in just a few months, mass hiring events will be happening. Buc-ee’s is expected to begin hiring all staff just after the first of the year.

Buc-ee's typically hosts a massive, multi-day local hiring fair (often at a nearby hotel or convention center) to process thousands of applicants. These interviews are usually by invitation only, requiring an online pre-application.
What Positions Will Buc-ee’s Be Hiring in 2027
The company will be looking for cashiers, grocery/warehouse stockers, cleaners, and food service associates. These jobs do offer pay starting at a minimum of $17 dollars an hour. Many of them pay much more.
