Shreveport Man Arrested for Burglary After Hiding From SPD

On Tuesday just after midnight, Shreveport Police responded to a suspicious person call on Cotton Street.

When SPD got to the scene, they saw a man on the property attempting to hide from them. The caller told SPD that they had been watching the man on surveillance cameras before they got there.

Shreveport Police K-9 units, confronted the suspect. The man, identified as John Paul Voight, was taken into custody without incident.

Voigt has been charged with one count of Simple Burglary.
