Shreveport Man Arrested Following Viral Reckless Driving Video

Shreveport Police have arrested a man following an investigation into a reckless driving incident that was recorded and circulated on social media.

Investigators identified KyErin Gilbert, also known as “Lil Tooda", as the driver of a Ford Crown Victoria seen in videos recorded over the weekend, near the intersection of West 70th Street and St. Vincent Avenue.

The videos showed the Crown Victoria being operated in an extremely dangerous way while other vehicles were parked to block parts of West 70th Street, creating danger to motorists and pedestrians in the area.

Following the investigation, Gilbert was arrested and charged with Reckless Operation of a Vehicle. The Crown Victoria involved in the incident was also located and impounded.

"The Shreveport Police Department reminds motorists that city streets are not racetracks or performance venues. Reckless driving, street takeovers, and intentionally blocking roadways create an unnecessary risk to everyone in the area and will be investigated.

We would also remind those choosing to engage in this behavior that recording it and posting it publicly on social media can be extremely helpful to investigators.

If you drive recklessly, endanger the public, and provide us with the video evidence, we will gladly investigate — and your vehicle may leave on a tow truck."
