Watch The Krewe Of Centaur 2024 Parade Roll In Shreveport

Shreveport's Krewe of Centaur has pushed through a lot this year. From efforts to stop the parades to an ice storm the week of their Bal, it wasn't a shock to see heavy rain in the forecast for parade day. But just like every other challenge the Krewe has faced this season, they pushed through, and it worked out.

Saturday's parade was wet due to the rainfall that started in the overnight hours, but just as the first floats rolled in Downtown Shreveport, the skies let up. As the rain ended, the throws started.

Amazingly, crowds still packed the parade route. With some showing up early in the morning, while heavy downpours were still surrounding Shreveport. Those fans worked through heavy rain to put up tents, set their sites with tables, and even some campfires. They pulled up to their spots early in the day, and stayed all the way through the parade. They were rewarded as well.

The Krewe of Centaur unleashed hundreds-of-thousands of dollars worth of throws onto the crowd that faced the elements to see the parade. From beads to cups, snacks to plungers, there were thousands of throws that matched the rain when it come to precipitation from the sky.
