Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans didn't go the way some thought. The final score of the game was the Philadelphia Eagles 40 and the Kansas City Chiefs 22, which wasn't the most popular predicted final score. There were a lot who did predict the Eagles would win, just not by that much.

At the same time, there were also a lot of people who predicted the halftime show would be a massive success. That would have actually been a safer bet than an Eagles blowout, since halftime performer Kendrick Lamar is one of the most decorated musicians to ever earn that slot.

While some were upset that Kendrick was picked for the show over Louisiana natives, like Lil Wayne, it wasn't without Louisiana representation. And no, we're not going to make the case that Serena Williams dancing cameo, and the fact her father is from Shreveport makes it Louisiana representation. There was actually a full-time dancer, that supported Kendrick's entire performance, that is from Shreveport.

Meet Alekz Samone, a Shreveport native who has become a staple of Kendrick Lamar performances. Alekz grew up and went to high school in Shreveport, before heading to Texas for a chance to pursue acting. That path eventually morphed into a career of dance, which now earned him a spot on the Super Bowl stage.

Alekz isn't just about dancing for one of the biggest TV audiences in history though. He's been working with numerous top artists through his career, with choreography and performances. Alekz also does dance workshops and helps others learn the skills to perform at this level.

You can catch Alekz numerous times throughout the Super Bowl LIX halftime show, the camera just seems to keep finding him...like he's a magnet.

So even those who might still be salty about Lil Wayne not getting the halftime show spot, take a moment to respect the fact that Shreveport found a little spot in the performance.
