Entire Police Department Goes on Strike in Louisiana
An entire police department in Louisiana went on strike today (Friday, April 3, 2024).
The entire police department in Ponchatoula, Louisiana is on strike and according to WBRZ, the chief acknowledges the strike by those serving and protecting their community.
We called the police department to find out why officers were on strike, but the person we spoke to was unaware of the reason.
The spokesperson told us that the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is in the town of Ponchatoula and that they are responding to calls.
