The Shreveport Municipal was ready for Juvenile and 400 Degreez Band and it looked like Juvenile was pumped for the concert as well, he had added Mannie Fresh and Hot Boy Turk Tab Virgil Jr. to the ticket and this was one of the most fun date nights in the making. Are Shreveport Residents to Blame for So Many Shows Canceling Last Minute?
I remember being told that Shreveport is a "walk up town" as in people purchase tickets the day of, which makes it incredibly difficult for promoters to bring shows to town. Remember when Snoop Dogg canceled his show because of a lack of ticket sales? We were about to have THE Snoop Dogg in Bossier, however, we the people of Shreveport-Bossier never buy tickets in a timely matter which makes promoters uneasy, and can we blame them?
What Can Change Our Concert Culture in Shreveport?
How can we demand better entertainment in town when we make promoters and companies uneasy with our "walk-up" mentality? Simply put, we must end the "walk-up" culture in Shreveport if we want to see amazing entertainers come to town.
