K945 Makes Cameo in Theo Von Confusion
Stand-Up Comedian Theo Von Had Brooks & Dunn on His Latest Podcast.
The channel described the dynamic duo as "Brooks & Dunn are a country music duo featuring songwriters Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. They’re known for their many hits like “Neon Moon”, “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”, “Red Dirt Road” and more. Their album “Reboot 2” comes out November 15th featuring new takes on their classic songs." If you watch the entire podcast they cover everything, from being friends with Johnny Cash to the duo working together when they didn't know each other at all.
Kix Brooks was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana so it was no surprise that Theo Von brought up Shreveport in conversation. Theo Von is no stranger to Shreveport. Theo Von visited Shreveport for a two-night stint and sold out the Strand Theatre both nights. We loved seeing a Louisiana-born comedian come back to the Bayou state and bring back some stand-up comedy to his home state. Several people from the Ark-La-Tex flooded downtown Shreveport to see Theo Von and his unique comedy.
Even Though Shreveport Showed Theo Von Some Love, He Poked Fun at Our Empty City.
Theo talked about his visit to Shreveport saying "I went to Shreveport, Jeeze Shreveport. That place- It went out of business. I mean they had it was just- I was walking down the street and a building asked me for forty dollars."
There Was Some Miscommunication With the Podcast Producers and Theo Von That Gave K945 Some Attention.
Do you remember the video of the Dripp Donuts building coming down? Theo went on to say that the "tallest building in Shreveport" was torn down. Kix Brooks was in disbelief thinking that he was talking about the Regions Building downtown. The clip is funny if you're from Shreveport and know what's going on. Check out the video below.
