Kids Can Win Big Prizes at April 15th Free Fishing Rodeo

According to the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, the nationally recognized King Kat Tournament Trail is coming to the Red River April 15 and anglers will be competing for some big bucks.

However, they aren't leaving the little anglers out of the picture either as they will hold a free Kids Fishing Rodeo with loads of prizes and giveaways!

All anglers 15 years of age and younger are encouraged to bring their favorite fishing poles and lures (live bait is allowed) and show up at Red River South Marina, 250 Red River South Marina Road, on Saturday, April 15 between 9:00 am and 11:00 am and take part in this Kids Fishing Rodeo.

It doesn't cost anything for kids to enter and along with all the prizes and other giveaways they'll be eligible to get on site, all kids will be entered into a drawing for a scholarship that will be given away at one of the King Kat championships this fall.

Of course, you and the kids will want to wait around to see the weigh-in with all the anglers and their big fish which will begin at 3:00 pm and continue until 4:00 pm.
