Lance Bass Will Host ‘Finding Prince Charming,’ First-of-Its-Kind Gay Dating Series
Thanks to Logo, any gay man's dream of finding Prince Charming can now be achieved by means of casting announcement.
The network's NewNowNext blog confirmed today (July 12) that Lance Bass will host a new dating series called Finding Prince Charming, a first-of-its-kind show that will basically function for gay men the same way The Bachelor or The Bachelorette does for straight men and women. Thirteen suitors will compete for the heart of an eligible bachelor (Logo hasn't confirmed the identity, but TMZ seems sure it's interior designer Robert Sepulveda Jr.), and they'll be weeded out until one winner remains.
"Logo has a long history of showcasing LGBTQ-focused stories with memorable characters that transcend pop culture,” Logo SVP of Original Programming for Logo Pamela Post said. “Finding Prince Charming will take viewers on a whirlwind journey through modern love and relationships in a way that only Logo can do."
Bravo tried its hand at a similar gay dating show called Boy Meets Boy in 2003, but the general concept was coupled with a deceitful twist — some of the eligible daters were straight, and sought to outsmart the show's featured bachelor for a bigger cash prize.
Finding Prince Charming is currently in production, and is scheduled to premiere on Logo in the fall of 2016.
