Liquidation Sales Starting at Payless After Closing Announcement
Last week the announcement was made that Payless Shoes will be filing for bankruptcy and closing all 3,600 stores nationwide. The plan is to start closing stores by the end of March with all of them closed by May so this means they need to get rid of all the shoes currently in stores and the warehouses. According to the corporate office in Kansas, the liquidation sales started on Sunday.
Every store has different sales based on their stock but just like with ToysRUs the sales will start small at first... But payless is already known for their sales so I'm expected them to be pretty good. They already have Buy 1 Get 1 50% before the announcement so this will make them even bigger. The biggest sales will come right before the store closes however obviously by then the shoes will already be picked through with only certain sizes and brands left available.
As of this morning, the Bossier location has shoes at 20-40% off but those are expected to go up!
