A little bit more normal will be returning to Downtown Shreveport this month, but it will be in the form of the "new normal", with the appropriately named New Normal Concert.

The live music event will take place Friday September 18th, and Saturday September 19th, in Municipal Park (behind First United Methodist Church) in Downtown Shreveport. It will be a two night drive in concert event. The two nights will include performances by Logan and The Legendaries, Good Spirits, Jimmy Wooten Band, Windstorm, Alter Ego, The Hollow Decks, Sweet Nay, and Dan & Amelia Garner.

Liz Swaine from Shreveport's Downtown Development Authority released a statement today describing the New Normal Concert in further detail. She said:

"The live music and great bands are the main draw, but the event set up will also be fun. Attendees will be given a drive-in theater experience much like the recent New Normal Drive-In. Bands will start performing on the large LED-lit stage at 7 pm with 45-minute sets, which will last until roughly 10:30 each evening. In- between the sets there will be fun car karaoke events and other musical entertainment. You won’t go hungry or thirsty, either. Meals from downtown eateries Parish Taceaux and Retro Down Town Café will be available to purchase in advance and there will be food and drinks available for purchase at the concerts, as well. "

Now this is a ticketed event, so you won't be able to just pull up and take part. Plan ahead now by getting your tickets. They will be $30-$50 per car, and you can find all of the ticket info here.
